Fallon Features: FARMERS MARKET

The Historic Maine Street Farmers Market is a weekly event in the heart of Fallon on the newly redone Maine Street. The street looks and feels great with the benches and fountains, greenery and trees. The market blends right in to create a unique shopping venue for locals and visitors alike.

Beginning in mid-June and ending the weekend before Labor Day, the market buzzes with customers seeking the freshest produce, arts and crafts, and an array of activities. Locals and visitors alike have made the market a Fallon tradition.

Farmers from Fallon, northern Nevada, and California provide the market fresh produce every week. The freshest fruits and vegetables, along with specialty foods such as flavored breads, are available. The market is also home to local crafters and artists selling their wares each week.

The 2011 market day and time is still to be determined. Check back on FallonTourism.com’s home page in May for an update.
