The City of Fallon takes pride in its parks system. Fallon parks are available for use 365 days a year and provide plenty of room for rest and relaxation. The city owns and operates three major parks: Laura Mills, Oats, and Venturacci, an outdoor swimming pool, three neighborhood parks: Country Air Estates, Broadway, and Burntwood, and several baseball and softball fields. The City also maintains Pioneer Park on N. Maine St., a Soroptimist Club project which is also home to the men’s softball fields.

The Mayor’s Millennium Commission was instrumental in acquiring land for Millennium Park at the corner of Williams and Maine St. The park is a gift to residents and visitors alike. The park features shade trees, benches, walkways, grassy areas, the new City Clock Tower, and an informational kiosk. The park also offers some parking and will be a welcome rest stop for travelers and a great place for those working downtown to have lunch.

The Fallon skate park opened March 30, 2002 to the delight of hundreds of local skateboarders and roller bladers. The skate park is located in the new Venturacci Park, across the street from Northside Elementary school, that features a pergola, picnic and large grassy areas, and a playground.

Laura Mills Park provides over nine acres of shaded green grass comfort. It features a beautiful white gazebo, playground equipment, picnic tables, and two walking paths.

Oats Park provides another nine acres of grassy open area. The park features a newly-renovated baseball field, outdoor public swimming pool, picnic pavilion, playground equipment, and a brand new amphitheater built to celebrate Fallon’s Centennial. Oats Park is also the site of an historic restoration project. The Old Oats Park School is being adapted for re-use as an arts center and now includes the Barkley Theatre, a 300-seat proscenium theater, a 3,000 sq. ft. visual arts exhibit hall, art bar, and conference room.

The three other city parks provide immediate relief for surrounding neighborhoods. The City's parks system will be expanding in the near future with another eight-acre site on the north side of town.

The Churchill County/University Research Park & Fishing Pond, nicknamed "Liberty Park" by the United States Navy Seabees from NAS Fallon who helped construct it, officially opened on Monday, May 4, 1998. The park is located just west of the Fairgrounds at 2323 Schurz Hwy. (U.S. Hwy 95 south) and is home to Fallon’s only dog park.

The park offers fishing from dawn to dusk. Nevada fishing regulations apply. Persons 12 years old and under do not need a fishing license while
everyone over 13 does need a license. The limit is five fish per person. The park is equipped with public restrooms.
